Susanne is a passionate and pragmatic business development specialist in the legal sector and beyond. During a quarter of a century working in house as a BD and Marketing Director and externally as consultant and coach she has developed a deep understanding of the nuances and intricacies of working with partnerships to achieve their business goals.
Susanne started Pugsley Sidwell Business Development or “PSBD” in 2009 after a decade in house in law firm marketing and business development for a range of firms from Global UK headquartered, US firms, National firms and Regional firms so her range of experience spans the very large to the very small and can adapt and tailor services to fit any size or requirement.
She is known in the sector as a fixer of problems, a true change manager who has helped many firms and individual partners in both the law and accountancy to create workable strategies to realise their business development and marketing goals.
Susanne is a judge for the Managing Partner Forum awards and the Head of Programme Managment for the PM Forum and MPF.
She is also a Non Executive Director for The Construction Product Information Code
She is a mentor for people in professional services both marketing and lawyers.
Public Relations
Matt is a co-founder of Coast Communications. With more than 25 years’ experience in the professional services sector, he brings strategic insight and guides on tactical implementation on all aspects of media relations and communications across the legal, accounting, consulting and property sectors. He works alongside firms on thought leadership and content programmes, and is an experienced crisis communications and litigation support adviser, a former national newspaper reporter, and past editor of the Professional Services Marketing Group magazine.
Matt has worked closely with PSBD for the last decade and provided excellent PR and comms support for our clients.
Digital Marketing
Peter is the founder of Digital Whiskey and brings nearly 20 years’ experience of providing advisory services to firms on how marketing technology can support their digital initiatives.
He wants to help professional services firms apply the rigour and creativity of consumer brand marketing and deliver recognisable value back to the business. The professions are changing and Peter’s ambition is for Digital marketing central part of the evolution of change in Professional Services BD & Marketing.

Brand Design
Richard founded Brand Remedy in 1985 and brings a wealth of creative and commercial expertise to all branding and design projects.
With experience in B2B branding which has covered significant work in professional services, real estate, financial services and the public sector, Richard combines his understanding of branding with a thorough knowledge of the design process, both strategic and creative.
Working at an executive level to implement brand strategy and ensure the timely delivery of major projects enables Richard to build genuine, long-term relationships with clients.
Richard has worked closely with PSBD to create new brands and refresh existing ones. His understanding of the professional services market is a superb asset to our clients.
